BTS Inspired Books — 7 Masterpieces

26.11.25 | fictiondipity.com | No Comments

Hi, fiction lover! Have you ever wanted a list of BTS inspired books? Look no further! 💜 If you’re a fan of K-pop in general, you’re going to love these novels. You’ll find the same electric, boy band vibe in many of these. And for a few recommendations, we’re going to take inspiration from BTS’s lore and artistic direction. Let’s get started!

These 7 BTS Inspired Books Coming for My Heart

Once Upon a K-Prom 🫰 BTS Inspired Books

Once Upon a K-Prom 🫰 BTS Inspired Books

Once Upon a K-Prom follows Elena and her K-pop star childhood bestie, Robbie. This one is super cute! You’re going to fall head over heels for Robbie and his band. If you love the childhood friend to lovers trope, you’re going to eat it up. If I had to describe it in BTS terms, this has the essence of “Dynamite” and “Boy With Luv.”

The Floating World

The Floating World

We’re going to dive into BTS’s fantasy side. 🪄 In their music videos, such as “Blood Sweat & Tears,” they take inspo from some dark fantasy. And let’s not forget the iconic music video for “ON.” The Floating World evokes the same feeling of diving into something new, strange, and addictive. The Korean elements are sure to draw you in—we’re learning about the legend of the Celestial Maidens. The main characters, Ren and Sunho, are a fiery pair. And yes, there is an actual floating world in the story!

Shine

Shine

What better way to enter K-pop fiction than to read the debut novel by Jessica Jung, a legend in the K-pop world? ✨ In Shine, Rachel Kim sacrifices almost everything to try to debut as a K-pop idol. In this novel, we’re getting the inside scoop of the industry, along with some dark truths about life as a trainee and how toxic it can be at times. Rachel lays it down hard sometimes about her struggles, but at the same time, there’s so much fun in learning about how K-pop works behind the scenes. There’s even a heart throb, Jason Lee, who makes the pages go by so much faster.

K-pop Confidential

K-pop Confidential

K-pop Confidential is another fun one! 🎤 It’s a fast-paced read about Candace Park, who is thrust into the process of debuting in a highly anticipated girl group. She’s trying to live up to the standards of the most popular boy group on the planet. If you’ve been wondering about what it’s like to follow in BTS’ footsteps in the K-pop industry, this is the read for you!

Somewhere Only We Know

Somewhere Only We Know

Somewhere Only We Know made my heart ache and light up. 💗 We know that BTS has some extremely romantic songs, and this novel just matches their ballads so well. We have Lucky, the K-pop star, and Jack, who works a tabloid job. Romance flares up fast between them, but what can one day truly bring? I’ll be playing “Just One Day” by BTS while thinking about this book!

Stars and Smoke

Stars and Smoke

This one is a different pick in the same vein as The Floating World. But Stars and Smoke is more contemporary, set in the world we know. 🌠 We have Winter, the pop star who reminds me of the members of BTS so much! Then, we had Sydney, the elite spy. We take a dive into what stardom truly means, all while thrust into the world of espionage. Trust me, this one is going to make you want to flip through the pages at lightning speed. It doesn’t help that Winter and Sydney are electric together!

Our Finale of BTS Inspired Books 💛 I’ll Be the One

I'll Be The One BTS Inspired Books

Finally, we have I’ll Be the One. 🌻 This one is probably the most heartwarming and funny one. I love the main character, Skye, and how she’s breaking boundaries around what a K-pop idol should look like. Her goal of becoming the first plus-sized K-pop star has me cheering for her all the way. There’s a huge competition and a reality TV element, but the romcom vibes hit strong when we’re introduced to the charming Henry.
