About Me

I’m Justin Ho! I grew up in Hawaiʻi and fell in love with stories at a young age. In high school, I wrote short stories for the monthly newsletter and decided I wanted to work with fiction for the rest of my life. In college, I majored in Interdisciplinary Studies, with the title of “Cultural Awareness in Storytelling.” Also in college, I was accepted as a mentee in Author Mentor Match, where experienced authors mentor aspiring writers to edit their manuscripts to be query-ready. I found representation from my literary agent and began my journey toward traditional publishing.

I have experience as a sensitivity reader and have worked with New York Times bestselling authors. While working as a sensitivity reader, I found a passion for everything editorial. I began classes at the EFA, where I completed the full three courses on developmental editing for fiction. I am a graduate of Edit Republic, where I received training for copyediting and proofreading. I am always continuing my education for editorial skills.

When not writing or editing, I’m either playing a game on my phone or reading—my favorite authors are Marie Lu and Leigh Bardugo. I’m also taking my time learning Korean (code for watching too much K-pop content).
