Hi fiction lover! Are you new to TOMORROW X TOGETHER? Perhaps you need an introduction to the fearless TXT leader, Soobin. Soobin was born in Ansan, a city southwest of Seoul in South Korea. Standing at a good 6’1″, he’s the tallest member of the group, which is clear when watching any practice videos or their countless antics on their TikTok account. A self-proclaimed introvert, fan of Jin from BTS, and a bread lover, Soobin will charm your heart in an instant!
Key Things about TXT Leader — Soobin
First off, can we start with this iconic fancam video of “Dolphin”? Soobin was the MC for Music Bank for over a year with Arin from Oh My Girl. He made every week iconic while showing his genuine love for K-pop. In fact, he says in this video that he dreamed of wanting to become a singer so he could meet the group Kara! I can totally relate to forming a dream because of someone that you admire. And the fact that he got to meet Kara already means his dream came true!
Perhaps you have watched several interviews of TXT already. You will probably notice that Soobin likes to have the other members talk the most. Like any introvert, he knows what it’s like to have your social battery run out quickly! However, you might notice something interesting when watching his lives on Weverse. He can be very chatty when comfortable! And he loves to share with MOA and tell stories, many times stretching his lives past one hour.
Soobin may act a bit aloof in front of the members, but behind the cameras he’s a caring leader who will do anything to make sure the other members are okay. Take this story from Beomgyu. Is anyone else in tears? Soobin staying up and holding Beomgyu to make sure he’s okay gives me a feeling of comfort to know that the TXT members are in good hands.
How should I get to know Soobin?
So I recommend everyone trying to get to know TXT better to check out one of their first reality shows. ONE DREAM.TXT. This reality show follows the TXT members on their first showcase in America. While getting to know them through what they love to do best, you will see that they show a ton of personality in the show.
Weverse lives are also a good place to start. TALK X TODAY is another awesome one. And of course, on TO DO X TXT you can watch Soobin test his introvert ways by giving his loud and crazy side—take this recent episode, where he has to imitate Beomgyu as the game master and pours all of his energy to capture the loudness of his teammate.
Finally, can we show some love for Soobin’s cover of “숲”(Forest) by Choi Yu Ree? You have to take a listen to his enchanting voice yourself. Soobin often takes the falsettos in TXT’s songs, and he’s become the master of controlling that part of his voice. I mean, have you listened to “Deja Vu?”
